Limeburners National Park is hidden between South West Rocks and Port Macquarie in a charming coastal National Park called Point Plomer. The drive from South West Rocks along the Macleay River is picturesque, with the road being mostly bitumen, except for a 3km stretch of dirt track. The park does not allocate a specific area for camping, so you can choose where you would like to park your caravan. While at Point Plomer, you can indulge in activities such as walks, fishing, swimming, and surfing. We recommend a stroll along the Point Plomer walking track, which offers spectacular views of the rocky headlands. While relaxing by the caravan, we spotted a white-bellied Sea Eagle searching for food; it was attracted by the fishermen trying to entice beach worms to the surface of the sand. It’s a good idea to bring snacks and a drink and enjoy the sunset from the big hill.
