At 8:15 am, armed with our passports, we board the bus to the Singapore checkpoint. A swift exit ensues as everyone rushes through customs and back onto the bus. Upon reaching Singapore, our quest for boat parts leads us to a Chandlery, but unfortunately, our needs remain unfulfilled. Opting for a visit to the vibrant enclave of Little India, we explore the plethora of food options, satisfying our hunger with great-tasting Indian cuisine. We explore Sim Lim Square, Singapore’s largest electronics market, spanning multiple floors filled with computer parts, electronics, phone accessories, audio gear, and LED lights. After hours of browsing numerous stores, we concluded our visit by purchasing LED strip lights for our yacht. Adding to the adventure, we embark on an extensive train journey via Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system, accidentally witnessing much of the cityscape as we repeatedly miss our station stops.
We were looking forward to visiting Gardens by the Bay, we ventured into a small section of its expansive 101 hectares in Singapore’s modern downtown. The engineering marvels enabling the flourishing of global plants in the tropical environment attracted our interest, the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show was truly spectacular. Experiencing it firsthand is a definite must!
