Hahndorf is such a charming little German town nestled in the Adelaide Hills! Strolling down the main street, you’ll find delightful shops filled with candlesticks and leather goods, the historic German Arms Hotel, unique Byzantine-inspired knickknacks, and plenty of cozy cafes. Even though the weather was a bit rainy and chilly during our mornings there, having a hot breakfast and coffee each day felt like the best treat. The town was bustling with activity, making for an enjoyable walk as we soaked in all the German-inspired charm.
ur next adventure took us a short distance to a place called Little Hampton, where we were excited to meet up with my cousins at Pizzano’s for lunch!
What an absolutely delightful day we had! We enjoyed a scrumptious pizza with my cousins Linda, Mario, Peter, and Carol at this charming little café in Littlehampton, not too far from Mount Barker. It was such a joy to share stories and laughter together! It was great catching up!
Peter and Carol are off to Western Australia soon to meet up with their caravan club friends, while Linda and Mario just returned from a sunny getaway in Palm Cove, escaping the cold Adelaide winter. But their adventures aren’t over yet! They’ll be in town for only two weeks before they head off to Malta and then Italy, where they’ll meet up with Mario’s family.
After lunch, we visited Linda and Mario’s home to see her brother Graeme and his wife Joan. Graeme and Joan are passionate caravanners, and Graeme even refurbished their vintage caravan all by himself!
It was a lovely day spent with family and good food!
