Ko Racha Yai is a short sail from Chelong Harbour. It is accessible by boat and is south-east of the mainland. This unique little island, bustling with tourists, features crystal-clear waters and pristine white beaches It is a well-known snorkelling and diving location, especially suitable for beginners. This is where we experienced our first dive. Visitors can enjoy lunch with a view of the water and explore the island while taking in the beautiful scenery. There are vendors selling food, souvenirs, and sports gear for hire. If you plan to hike around the island, be prepared to encounter large monitor lizards near swampy areas and rubbish sites, as well as cows and buffaloes grazing. Don’t forget to bring your drinking water.
