Our stay at Coffs Harbour Big 4 Holiday Park was enjoyable, thanks to its excellent location near the water. The park was just a short stroll from the marina, waterfront coffee, sailing club, and Mutton Bird Island. Rabbits and bush turkeys freely roamed around the Big4 Park. On our morning stroll to the marina, we saw yellow-faced black cockatoos perched in the she-oak trees near the beach; one looked like a juvenile feeding on the cones.
We enjoyed our daily walk to the harbour, sipping coffee by the beach, relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere, and observing swimmers in the chilly water.
Daily hikes to the summit of Mutton- Bird Island rewarded us with breath-taking views. The local markets, held every Saturday, provided an excellent opportunity to explore and indulge in regional products.
Venturing on a day trip to Dorrigo National Park left us awe-inspired by the stunning scenery. The Skywalk offered great views of the mountains. Take your time to enjoy the park and venture out on some great walks. Dangar Falls was a must-visit, offering fantastic photo opportunities; it’s a short walk down to the bottom of the falls.
There is so much left to accomplish. We regret not having more time there.
